In the UK, London-based brand research agency The Nursery Research and Planning has acquired insight firm Arkenford, for an undisclosed amount.
The Nursery provides custom qual and quant brand strategy research, including employee mood studies, research among children, segmentations and advice for start-up businesses. Arkenford boasts an in-house IT department and its services include helping clients to simplify, visualize and share their data, as well as segmentation and branding.
The firms say the combination of Arkenford's innovative quant research methods and analytical skills and The Nursery's inspiring and constructive brand research will create a 'powerhouse' of research capabilities and expertise.
Peter Dann, co-founder of The Nursery, says the firm has 'lots of exciting new products in the pipeline', while Arkenford co-founder Ben Moxon (pictured) comments: 'It's great news that we'll be working so closely with The Nursery. Together we will be able to provide new opportunities to apply our data science and analytical capabilities'.
