IFOP Acquires SOCIOVISION

July 6 2018

In France, market research and polling firm IFOP has acquired SOCIOVISION, a company using sociological studies to understand consumer behaviour and anticipate changes in society. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Pierre PigeonFounded in 1954, SOCIOVISION's model is based on the enrichment and analysis of databases - both in France and internationally - using its 'Observatoire France', an annual survey conducted among 2,000 French respondents, and its 'International Observer', carried out in eleven countries among 27,000 individuals. Stéphane Truchi, Chairman of IFOP's Executive Board, says the SOCIOVISION brand will be retained.

Pierre Pigeon (pictured), Chairman of the AplusA - IFOP Group, adds: 'This acquisition is an important step in our strategy to build a major international market research group. By integrating SOCIOVISION, taking into consideration social trends will further enhance the relevance of the studies conducted by AplusA and IFOP, through a better understanding of the expectations of consumers as well as patients and the motivations of their physicians. By decrypting the entire ecosystem we are able to bring a unique competitive advantage to our customers'.
