TVision Insights Gets New Funds and First COO

July 19 2018

US-based TV attention measurement company TVision Insights has raised $11.5m in a new round of growth funding. The company has also appointed former LiveRamp exec Luke McGuinness as its first President and Chief Operating Officer.

Luke McGuinnessTVision Insights' opt-in panel uses privacy-focused hardware and software for passive monitoring of TV viewing behavior and person-level measurement data reported second-by-second. The company's core technology uses patented computer vision algorithms to passively measure 'eyes on screen', in order to understand person-level engagement with video content. New investment has been led by Accomplice and Jump Capital, and TVision Insights CEO Yan Liu says it will support the expansion of the firm's in-home panel, and the growth of its team.

McGuinness (pictured) joins with twenty years of experience in the audience development, data, measurement and analytics fields. Most recently, he worked at Acxiom's customer data 'onboarding' specialist LiveRamp, where he was a member of the executive team and built and ran the LiveRamp Data Store. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at Collective, driving cross-screen targeting and measurement innovation; and at digital audience measurement and competitive intelligence business Experian Hitwise. In his new role, McGuinness will oversee product, go-to-market, partnerships, business development and operational functions.

The firm, which is headquartered in Boston with offices in New York and Tokyo, is online at: www.tvisioninsights.com .
