DRG Names Chief Strategy Officer

Burlington, MA-based healthcare data and insights provider Decision Resources Group (DRG) has appointed Davis Walp as Chief Strategy Officer.

Davis WalpDRG, a subsidiary of Piramal Enterprises Ltd, offers healthcare clients an in-house team of expert healthcare analysts, data scientists and consultants providing guidance; and a range of data products and services including web-enabled research, predictive analytics and proprietary databases. In April, it launched a new 'Learning' division, to support strategic decision-making, increase access and reimbursement, and improve overall financial and clinical outcomes.

Walp brings more than twenty years of global strategy and operations experience across the sector, most recently from healthcare technology provider Allscripts, where he headed strategy and business development for the genomics and precision medicine venture, and was Segment Leader for research offerings to life sciences sponsors. Prior to this he worked in internal startups within Deloitte and Quintiles (now IQVIA), after a decade in planning and strategy roles on the client side at Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline.
