Weber Shandwick Opens 'X Practice' Hub

Communications and marketing services giant Weber Shandwick has set up a centralized hub it calls The X Practice, combining the expertise of hundreds of its specialists in data sciences, digital innovation, technology and media R&D.

Chris PerryWeber Shandwick says the move gives clients easier access to its capabilities in the area. In addition, The X Practice will tap into the group of specialist firms Weber Shandwick has added to its global roster in recent years - including mobile agency Flipside, digital creative agency Cappuccino, social media creative agency ThatLot, data intelligence firm Bomoda and digital and performance marketing firm Resolute Digital.

Chief Digital Officer Chris Perry (pictured) will oversee The X Practice globally in collaboration with a newly formed leadership team. He comments: 'Every organization today is grappling in some way with how to keep pace with changes in technology, customer expectations, social media behavior and media habits. Whether it's building social media programs that drive sales or developing new AI-driven platforms to manage customer inquiries, we've been helping our clients understand and employ new methods of engagement in today's business landscape.
