Omnicom and GRYT in Patient Health Data Deal

In the US, marketing and healthcare communications group Omnicom has partnered with mobile-based cancer survivor community app GRYT Health, with the latter providing Omnicom's agencies with access to patient-generated health data.

Dave FuehrerLaunched in 2016, GRYT's app was founded by cancer survivors and caregivers in order to connect other people going through similar experiences. Through the partnership, Omnicom and its agencies will be able to collaborate directly with app users who want to share their experiences to inform new strategies that will help improve the 'living-with-cancer experience' and support patient preferences.

Dave Fuehrer (pictured), co-founder and CEO of GRYT Health, comments: 'Through our app, we've created a way for people to connect to each other, share information, and collaborate with industry. As a result, we are able to provide Omnicom and its agencies with 'human intelligence' - real-time, contextual understanding of the patient challenges their clients are working to address'.
