ISG Reports Flat Third Quarter

November 9 2018

In the US, technology research and advisory firm Information Services Group (ISG) has reported a slight drop in third quarter revenue, from $68.3m in Q3 2017 to $68.0m.

Michael ConnorsFounded by Chairman and CEO Michael Connors (pictured) in 2006, and headquartered in Stamford, CT, ISG now employs more than 1,300 professionals operating across more than twenty countries. Since it was set up, the group has acquired TPI, Compass, STA Consulting, and more recently IT trends analyst Saugatuck Technology, subscription-based research, advisory and benchmarking firm Experton Group AG, and outsourcing advisory firm Alsbridge Holdings.

Revenue was flat overall in constant currency: while in Europe it rose 22% to $24.0m, it fell 7% in the Americas to $38.5m and 24% to $5.4m in Asia Pacific. Currency negatively impacted reported revenues by $0.8m versus the same period in 2017. Third-quarter 2018 adjusted EBITDA was $8.8m, compared with $9.6m in the prior year period.

Commenting on the results, Connors said: 'ISG delivered another solid quarter with adjusted EBITDA margins of 13%, propelled by strong demand for all things digital and a robust European demand environment for our product and services portfolio. Digital Solutions continue to be a growth engine for the firm, representing more than 40% of our total revenue, and we're responding with continued investment in this area during the second half of this year. Our ability to continuously innovate and expand our capabilities in response to client needs in a global market fueled by digital transformation, coupled with our disciplined management approach, positions us strongly to continue delivering increased value for our clients and profitable growth for our shareholders'.
