During his time with the group, he led Publicis-owned StarcomMediavest Group across EMEA, Australia and Canada; and served as founding MD of Starcom Motive London. He previously co-founded new media company Motive Communications, and sold it in 2000 to what was to become Starcom.

Commenting on the news, Phil Smith, Director General of the ISBA, said: 'Douglas has been an inspiring and energetic chair. His strong leadership and commitment to ISBA joining the UKOM Board have been hallmarks of his chairmanship. He hands over a well-established UKOM to Iain Jacob who brings world-class business leadership and a topical insight into the opportunities and challenges ahead'.
