Launches for Luxury and HNW Specialist Altiant

Stockholm-based affluent fieldwork specialist Altiant has launched, GLAM - the Global Luxury and Asset Management monitor, as well as an open interactive platform hosting ranges of data points from its in-house HNW panel LuxuryOpinions.

Previously known as Red Carpet Research, the company conducts large scale quant research for the luxury and wealth industries, provides validated affluent and high net worth (HNW) sample via LuxuryOpinions, and offers fieldwork solutions for both continuous tracking and ad hoc research. Last year it opened an office in Barcelona and established a presence in the UK.

The GLAM Monitor looks exclusively at opinions from validated affluent and HNW individuals. Data will be collected continuously and released every quarter, and cover topics around luxury purchase, financial market sentiment, sustainability and travel. Dashboards are published using Tableau Online, accessible via any browser, and data can be manipulated and filtered across regions (Europe, US, Asia), income levels, age and gender.

The first edition covers Q3 and Q4 2018 and reports data from 987 interviews, with a normalized median household income of just over $294,000. Findings include good news for the luxury travel sector, which has the highest potential increase in spending among current users (47% intend to up their spend); and high awareness of and involvement in cryptocurrencies, with only 6% completely unaware of them and 37% with some investment position tied to them in Q4 2018 - up from just 30% in Q3. Only 6% of all respondents consider the global financial system to
be 'very stable'.
