SPARK Neuro to Expand to Washington DC and Europe

New York-based neuroanalytics specialist SPARK Neuro is opening an office in Washington, DC next month, and is also planning an opening in Europe.

Founded in 2017, SPARK Neuro combines EEG (electroencephalography), GSR (galvanic skin response), facial coding and eye tracking to evaluate audience engagement with advertising and entertainment. Last August, the firm raised $13.5m in a Series A round of funding, which it has partly used to expand to Tokyo. This funding was led by Thiel Capital, with participation from actor Will Smith and media and entertainment industry exec Michael Eisner's Tornante Company.
