Kantar Names Doreen Wang China Country Leader

Kantar has named Doreen Wang Country Leader in China. She will return from New York to Beijing in January to take up her new appointment.

Most recently, Wang (pictured) built Kantar's BrandZ brand valuation practice, expanding it into seventeen countries over the past five years, and she will continue in the role of Global Head of BrandZ alongside her new responsibilities. Earlier, she worked for Kantar Millward Brown, latterly serving as Head of Client Solutions; she founded MR consultancy MarketNet Global; and she served as International Research Director at GfK Custom Research.

Commenting on Wang's move, Kantar CEO Eric Salama said: 'Much of China's ecosystem around areas like eCommerce is unique and it is important for our continued success in the market that we adopt an even more local strategy. No one is better suited to driving this than Doreen. She is a strong, dynamic and visionary leader with an impressive track record and reputation in China and on the global stage.
