RichRelevance and Manthan Systems to Merge

US-based personalized search, content and recommendations specialist RichRelevance has announced plans to consolidate its business with Indian retail analytics solutions provider Manthan Systems. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Headquartered in San Francisco, RichRelevance has nine offices around the globe and delivers personalized ads to consumers as they shop across the web, in-store and on mobile devices. Manthan is a cloud analytics company which develops business intelligence and analytics for the retail and consumer packaged goods industries from its headquarters in Bangalore and offices in Santa Clara, London, Dubai, Mexico City, Singapore and Manila. The companies have now signed an agreement to merge their businesses in the coming year.

The joint offering will include a customer data platform, retail marketing and merchandising solution, and real-time personalization platform with advanced data science. Users can discover new segments, target the most profitable customers, automatically test for and deliver the most relevant content; they can also manage and deploy data science models, using AI with low or no involvement from IT.

As part of the merger, Carl Theobald will move from the role of RichRelevance CEO to the Board of Advisors, while RichRelevance Chairman Bill Pearce will assume the role of Executive Chairman.
