Simon Data Names Chief Product Officer

In New York, enterprise customer information platform Simon Data has appointed former AppNexus exec Doina Harris as Chief Product Officer.

Founded in 2014, Simon Data helps businesses use enterprise-scale big data and machine learning to deliver personalized customer experiences across any channel, without needing to build and maintain massive bespoke data infrastructure. Last year, the firm raised $20m in a Series B round of funding, for use in solutions development and expansion of its product and engineering teams, with a focus on data science.

Harris (pictured) joins from ad targeting tech specialist AppNexus (now part of AT&T's Xandr), where she initially served as Global MD of the Ad Tech Buyer division, before moving to the role of Head of Customer Success, and latterly to Head of Analytics and Finance. Prior to this, she spent eight years at Google in a number of strategy and partnership leadership positions.

As part of the Simon Data executive leadership team, Harris will oversee product development, commercialization, strategy and finance; working closely with the firm's co-founders to continue to advance the product roadmap, and identify new personalization technology. CEO and co-founder Jason Davis comments: 'Doina brings to Simon Data a unique and expansive skillset centered around a deep focus on customers and a strategic understanding of overall market trends, that will further define Simon Data's offering and more broadly shape the customer data platform space as it evolves'.
