Longer Run for Kantar and Comscore's Italian Job

Kantar and Comscore have announced the renewal of their partnership with Italian TV audience measurement body Auditel. The contract, ongoing since August 2017, will now run until December 31st 2023.

Louise Ainsworth and Guido FambachAuditel's digital measurement project tracks TV broadcasters' video content on all digital devices using a combination of Kantar's Focal Meter and Comscore's census tagging. Louise Ainsworth, CEO EMEA of the media division at Kantar, says the Focal Meter technology provides granular detail into increased streaming viewing habits. The project provides minute by minute reporting and full coverage of both editorial and advertising content, to inform the entire Italian TV market, from broadcasters and advertising investors to agencies and media centres.

According to Ainsworth, Auditel's decision to renew the contract is testament to the investments Kantar has made in cross-media audience measurement, already being deployed in markets across Europe, Latin America and North America. Guido Fambach, Comscore's EVP for EMEA & APAC, adds: 'We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Auditel, the work on this project is vital to delivering essential and accurate insights for the Italian market. As Comscore continues to grow its capabilities in the TV space internationally it is essential for us to strengthen relationships with key players in important markets such as Italy'.
