NOP World Health Announces Leadership Team

Recently-formed NOP World Health has announced the composition of its European Team, based in London. David Bayton, a former NOP Director, returns to lead the team after five years away at RI and Synovate.

The group was formed earlier this year by integrating the company's three global healthcare businesses, Market Measures/Cozint, NOP Healthcare and Strategic Marketing Corporation.

Bayton, who worked for NOP between 1988 and 1999 in the International Research Team, returns to the company as European Head of Research. In between, he ran the healthcare division at Research International, rising to MD of Business and Technology and a seat on the Board; and Synovate where he held key roles in healthcare business development and key client management.

Christine Corner, until recently head of the European Division of Strategic Marketing Corporation, takes up the new role of European Head of Sales and Business Development. Prior to joining the group, she worked at Silver Fern Research and TNS.

Ian Pike joins as European Business Development Director, where he will continue his work on the Global Diabetes Patient Programme in addition to major, established syndicated services and key client management. Ian has worked in healthcare for over ten years, previously working at GfK, Maritz, AGB and Roper Starch Worldwide (now part of NOP World).

Charles Chaine, previously Head of International Market Research at Novo Nordisk in Denmark and then the UK, after working in Director level Healthcare posts at TNS Intersearch and Harris Promark. Chaine becomes a Director.

Bayton said that after an important year re-structuring, the next 12 months would be very exciting: 'with new talent on board and new foundations in place we're looking forward to getting on with our strategy for 2005'.
