HISB Helps Clients Move Surveys Online

Harris Interactive Service Bureau (HISB) is making its new SynTrack Online service available to MR firms across the US. The service, which makes use of the HI global online panel, is designed to facilitate the migration of traditional syndicated and tracking studies to the Internet, while preserving historical data and analysis of trends.

As part of the service, HISB works to refine offline surveys for online use, in a way that will not affect continuity of results, and to ensure representative results through reliable sampling and weighting techniques. Initially, it conducts parallel offline and online studies until the transition is complete. Most studies then continue online only, although the company can also offer mixed-mode studies where necessary to reach the target group. While in the field, the data is monitored regularly, and HISB customer sales managers provide daily reports to clients.

Jim Longo, Senior VP, Client Development, at HISB explains the importance of moving surveys to the Internet: 'In addition to potential cost savings, clients are attracted by the speed, accuracy, survey depth, and efficiency that online research offers. What's more, the demographics of the online population are becoming more appealing to researchers as traditional respondent populations continue to shift.'
