New Tool Seeks Insights from Online Community

Toledo, Ohio-based MR and strategy company c8mr has announced the release of Forum360™, a new 'social collaboration tool' designed to give marketers insights from a carefully constructed and maintained online community.

Known until earlier this year as Creative Marketing Enterprises, Inc, the firm was formed in 1974 as a full-service marketing research company, specializing in automotive research. With its new focus, c8mr recruits and engages a balanced sample of consumers for an online community, hosts it and facilitates communications with it. It also provides advice on how to make use of the insights arising.

VP of marketing Phil Jackson says Forum360 gives marketers a 'mashup' of online social networking tools, online qual and quant, and decision making and problem-solving techniques, tapping into 'the collective wisdom of peer-to-peer interaction and sharing'.

According to c8mr President & CEO Lynn P. Brown, the tool uses online social conversations among customers or target interest groups to develop 'a holistic understanding of consumers in context. Marketers can apply social collaboration to spot trends, develop products, develop customer communications and advertising, engineer the customer experience, or even delve into brand image, loyalty and positioning.'
