Harris Launches European Family Panel

May 14 2009

Harris Interactive is to offer clients access to the opinions of families in Europe through a panel to be launched in the summer.

The European Family Access panel will consist of households with parents of children aged between 1 and 16 years of age. Panellists will be profiled for various attitudinal and behavioural data for use in tracking studies or ad hoc customisable research.

Clients will have a number of survey options including asking questions to parents alone, with parents and children together, or just with children answering by themselves. The firm says that this allows clients to explore a variety of different topics that involve family dynamics or that relate to individual members of the family.

The panel will cover a number of countries in Europe and has been developed as part of a larger initiative to help clients research the child, youth and family audience. These include the recent launch of the Brainwaves technique, which enables children and teenagers to participate in the co-creation of new products and services.

In January, the company opened a specialist youth and kids practice to complement the firm's existing expertise in the sector, in particular its US Youth Centre of Excellence.
