Online business analyst eMarketer has hired former Gartner editor Karin von Abrams as Senior Analyst, covering Internet marketing and emerging media in the UK, Western Europe and Canada.
von Abrams, the firm’s first analyst dedicated to these regions, will expand and upgrade its international analysis, writing reports on online advertising and Internet users and usage for each. Existing coverage includes Canada Online Retail and Europe Online Travel.
Based in London, she has more than 12 years of experience working in technology and new media, and more than 20 years as a writer and editor. At Gartner Inc. she was Head of Editing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Her previous roles included New Media Knowledge Director at Saatchi & Saatchi.
