DigitalMR
In the UK, tech-focused market research company DigitalMR has appointed Advisory Board member Steve Alexander as interim Chief Technology Officer, while it searches for someone to take the role permanently.
Founded in 2010 and based in London, DigitalMR offers a 'holistic' consulting approach to web-based MR. Its listening247 platform monitors social media and other public web sites to understand consumer sentiment; while the communities247 product allows companies to recruit private online communities through which to gain market insights, co-create, activate customers, and develop customer advocacy. Last year, the firm added a feature called Intercept Surveys to these two products, promising real-time feedback from site visitors, and improved completion rates.
Alexander (pictured) began his career with IBM working in both engineering and sales positions and subsequently went on to start two technology firms providing consulting services. He co-founded and served as CEO of Digital Focus, a technology development firm that designed and implemented large-scale enterprise apps, and then sold the company to Command Information in 2006. He is currently founder and Managing Partner of digital solutions provider Scaled Markets.
