Ad Council

Clifford Young In New York, non-profit organization the Ad Council has given nineteen execs seats of its Board of Directors, including long-time Ipsos executive Clifford Young.

Founded in 1942, the Ad Council is a membership organization for executives in the advertising, media, marketing and tech sectors. Its Board of Directors is comprised of a group of senior marketing, media and business executives working closely with the organization's leadership to steer the communications industry's efforts to address gun violence, mental health, the drug overdose epidemic, and racial justice.

Young (pictured) previously spent nine years on the Ad Council's Research Committee. For the past fifteen years he has worked at Ipsos, where he currently serves as Cluster President, leading three interrelated businesses: Public Affairs, Corporate Reputation, and Observer (quick turnaround, digital, and omnibus). Before this he was President US Public Affairs, having earlier been SVP, MD, Public Sector and Polling. In addition he is an Adjunct Professor at Johns Hopkins' School of Advanced International Studies, and an instructor at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs.
