In the UK, The Carphone Warehouse’s broadband and home phone arm TalkTalk has appointed Olivia Streatfeild as Marketing Director, responsible for brand campaigns, direct marketing and consumer insight.
Streatfeild joins from McKinsey & Co, where she worked as a Consultant advising on marketing and strategy issues for companies in the consumer, retail and telecoms sectors.
In her new role, she will report to Talk Talk’s Commercial Director Tristia Clarke, former CMO at Best Buy Europe. Streatfeild replaces Dominic Stinton, who recently left as part of a reshuffle which also involved the departure of Group Head of Marketing David Pagliari.
The Carphone Warehouse claims to be Europe's largest independent mobile phone retailer, with more than 1,700 stores across Europe. Its TalkTalk business, which was launched in 2003, has 2.7 million customers.
