SSI Broadens Reach in Latin America

Survey Sampling International (SSI) has increased the size of its online communities in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico, and has also launched mobile and landline samples in Mexico and a landline sample in Brazil.

The upgrade provides access to 50,000 people in Mexico, 50,000 in Brazil and 15,000 in Argentina, with plans to grow each to 100,000.

'We've conducted hundreds of studies in this region for several years, all with great success,' says Mauricio Torres Leclerc, MD, SSI Latin America. 'With the increasing demand and interest for research in these countries, the time was right to establish our proprietary online panels to increase our reach and further support researchers.'

The Latin America region is managed by Torres Leclerc and Client Services Director Marko Zednik, who previously founded the firm's Madrid office and grew SSI's southern Europe and European key accounts territories. Both previously serviced Latin American clients from Spain, and have been conducting research in this region for more than five years.

SSI offers access to more than six million consumer and business-to-business research respondents in 54 countries via Internet, telephone, and mobile. Earlier this month, the firm opened a new office in Singapore led by Kien Hoo Yap, and an office in Hong Kong led by former TNS Consultant Keaton Fong.
