SSI Opens in Mexico

Survey Sampling International (SSI) has announced the opening of an office in Mexico City, servicing clients conducting online and telephone research throughoutout Latin America.

Mauricio Torres Leclerc, MD of SSI Latin America, will work with Client Services Director Marko Zednik in the new office: the two previously founded SSI's Madrid office and have to date serviced Latin American clients from Spain.

Since moving into Latin American research around five years ago, SSI has amassed 32,000 panelists in Argentina, 110,000 in Brazil and 82,000 in Mexico. It also offers mobile RDD in these countries and Venezuela and is expanding it throughout Latin America.

SSI can profile panelists on hundreds of criteria, such as Automobile ownership, Business/Education, Finance, Household Size/Income, Leisure/Interests and Social Class; and can also profile people with custom screening questions using its iScreen methodology.

Leclerc joined SSI in 2005, was born and raised in Colombia and studied and worked in Canada, France, Holland, Italy, Monaco, Spain, and the US. He speaks Spanish, English, French, and Italian; while Client Services Director Marko Zednik joined the same year and speaks Spanish, English, and German.

Leclerc comments: 'We believe it is beneficial to both our clients and our panelists to establish ourselves locally where we embrace the people and the distinctive cultures'.
