Ipsos Rolls Out Early-Stage Product Forecasting Tool

Ipsos Marketing has rolled out the global launch of its 'NOVACTION NextGen' forecasting tool, which promises to help marketers measure the potential of their new products at any stage of the innovation process.

Jeff JacobsThe new system offers marketers insights into their new products' sales potential, as early as the idea stage. The tool is based on Ipsos' DESIGNOR STM forecasting model, which the firm claims has been validated within 9% of actual sales.

NOVACTION NextGen forecasts can be added to a range of innovation tools that clients are already using, including idea, concept, product, communications and package testing; concept screening; and line and price optimization.

'The system provides market assessment throughout the innovation process based on consistent measures that not only link the stages together, but also have been proven to drive new product success,' explains Jeff Jacobs, VP of the Global Product Center, who spearheaded the tool's development.

The tool is part of a suite designed to help clients build successful new products and grow strong brands throughout all stages of the product life cycle.
