Keynote Reports Highest Annual Revenue Yet

In the US, online testing and measurement solutions firm Keynote has reported revenue of $19.7m for the fourth quarter of 2009 (2008 = $21.1m) and a 4% rise in revenue for fiscal 2009 to $80.1m (2008 = $76.9m) for fiscal 2009 - the highest annual revenue in the company's history.

Umang GuptaFor more than a decade, Keynote has been providing measurement data and testing capabilities to enable companies to understand and improve their customers' online and mobile experience. The firm has four test and measurement businesses: web performance, mobile quality, streaming & VoIP, and customer experience/UX.

For Q4, net income was $537k (or $0.04 per diluted share), against a net loss of $631k (or $0.05 per diluted share) for the same period in 2008.

Net income for fiscal year 2009 was $3.3m (or $0.23 per diluted share), in contrast to a net loss of $3.1m (or $0.20 per share) in 2008.

Cash from operations increased to $1.4m for Q4 and $8.8m for fiscal 2009, compared with $565k and $4.9m in the same periods a year ago.

Chairman and CEO Umang Gupta commented: 'We delivered solid financial performance in a tough economy. The market continues to validate our solutions, while our new product development impresses customers.'

Total revenue for the first quarter of fiscal year 2010 is expected to be between $18.9m and $19.4m.
