Nielsen Names South Asia FS Unit Head
In Mumbai, Nielsen has promoted Shubhranshu Das to the post of Regional Head of its new Global Financial Services Practice in South Asia.
Nielsen India conducts surveys such as Life 2000 and Money Monitor. Its new practice will develop proprietary products for the financial services sector by bringing together Nielsen’s expertise from different regions and countries.
Das joined the firm in 2008 with more than 20 years’ experience in marketing, advertising and market research.
He previously led the Financial Services Sector at TNS India, and worked in NFO’s Stakeholder Relationship Management group. His market research experience spans the B2B, retail and consumer products sectors, with a specific focus on telecoms and financial services. During his career, Das has also worked for Wipro, Siemens Telecom, SRF and Contract Advertising.
‘With the inception of Global Financial Services Practice we will integrate global best practices and solutions through Nielsen’s expertise in the finance sector,’ said Das. ‘The integration will further strengthen our proficiency in financial services related research and will make Nielsen’s financial resources available globally to clients based in any country.’
