MTV Hires Research Head
Media research veteran Nick Shore has joined MTV as Senior Vice President of Strategic Insights and Research, overseeing all research for the firm's various platforms including MTV, MTV2, mtv.com, mtvU and MTV Tr3s.
In a twenty-year career he has worked for and with the likes of PepsiCo, Motorola, Johnson & Johnson, and television networks Nickelodeon and FX; agencies and consultancies like Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners and more recently the Way Group; and has run his own brand agency, Nick and Paul Inc.
At MTV he will focus on tracking trends in youth culture, reporting to General Manager Stephen Friedman, who believes he will help the company look 'beyond data and statistics' to 'uncover new truths that will guide the next chapter of MTV's evolution.'
