InsightExpress Nabs Nielsen Exec for CRO Role

Digital marketing research firm InsightExpress has appointed former Nielsen executive Marc Ryan to its Executive Committee as Senior Vice President, Chief Research Officer.

Marc RyanRyan joins from Nielsen Online, where he was VP, Corporate Development, Strategy and Innovation, and an active member of the firm's Executive Team. Prior to this, he was VP, Market Research Products and New Product Development.

Before joining Nielsen, Ryan worked as Director of Media Research for Jupiter Media Metrix, and Director of Media Research at AdRelevance. He began his career with Millward Brown in Toronto as a Senior Research Executive, and was later promoted to Research Director of Millward Brown's Internet division in San Francisco.

Ryan's expertise spans product marketing and management, marketing research and online strategy. His industry experience includes CPG, mobile, pharmaceuticals, financial services, automotive, travel, retail and government.

In his new role, located at InsightExpress' headquarters in Stamford CT, Ryan will report to Chairman and CEO William Lipner, and be responsible for all research activities and staff across the company.
