Mob4Hire Upgrades Mobile Usability Offer

Canadian-based mobile testing and market research community Mob4Hire has launched Version 4.0 of its crowd sourcing platform, with new services including automatic sign-up and login with Facebook Connect, and improved integration of data collection.

Paul Poutanen and Stephen KingCEO Stephen King says the latest edition taps into Mob4Hire's community of 40,000 mobile testers, comprising 'real people on real handsets with real opinions' who are based in more than 150 countries. Clients can then include feedback from global users in the mobile development cycle.

In addition, the updated version includes four crowd-sourced products: MobTest, MobSurvey, MobExperience and MobAccelerator, to enable mobile functional testing, product management usability testing, and market research with global panels.

Collaboration tools have also been included, to allow communication between mobile developers / market researchers and 'Mobsters' (testers).

'When I was President of the company that introduced North America's first location based game, Swordfish, it cost us approximately $30,000 just to test the app for a week in San Francisco,' stated President and founder Paul Poutanen. 'I founded Mob4Hire because I knew crowd-sourcing could decrease these costs significantly while at the same time, increase product quality and solve a really big pain point for developers.'

The previous edition of Mob4Hire has been live since Autumn 2008.
