Datamonitor Snaps Up Packaging Specialist
In the UK, online database and analysis firm Datamonitor Group has acquired packaging research specialist Pack-Track. Terms were not disclosed.
Pack-Track’s team of experts offer a subscription-based service for packaging innovation, which enables brand manufacturers to take a packaging idea from another sector/market and apply it to their own brands.
Following the acquisition, which aims to add Pack-Track’s innovation research and analysis to Datamonitor’s global innovation and NPD expertise, Pack-Track will operate independently under the direction of founder Andrew Streeter.
Giles Watts, Consumer Business Unit Director at Datamonitor, said: ‘The Pack-Track team has built a specialised and respected product that complements our mission to organise and analyse the world’s consumer packaged goods information and make it available, accessible and meaningful to our clients.’
Streeter says the deal will further increase the ‘quality and diversity’ of the insights Pack-Track provides.
