RAJAR Names Jerry Hill as New CEO

In the UK, the radio audience measurement body RAJAR has appointed Jerry Hill as Chief Executive Officer, following the departure of Sally de la Bedoyere in May.

Jerry HillHill, who joins RAJAR on 6 September, has extensive experience in the media, advertising and marcoms industries. He worked previously at Interpublic-owned Initiative Media, where he latterly served as Worldwide Strategic Development Director and was a member of the global Board. Prior to this, he was CEO of TSMA, a division of United News and Media which he founded after working as Sales & Marketing Director at Anglia TV.

During his career, Hill has also served as Director of BARB (British Audience Research Bureau), as Chairman of the ITV Research Group and as a Council Member for the IPA (Institute of Practitioners in Advertising), as well as Chairman of the IPA's Five Year Strategy Group. He is currently Chairman of the Carnegie Orr corporate communications agency.

'Jerry is a highly rated individual with a very impressive track record in media spanning over 20 years,' stated Chairman David Mansfield. 'It is very important for the radio industry that the day-to-day running of RAJAR is in professional and capable hands and we feel confident that Jerry is this person.'

Hill added that as a radio fan, he is looking forward to working for the organisation, which he says, provides an internationally recognised 'gold standard' in radio audience research.

de la Bedoyere left RAJAR earlier in the year, to take up the post of Director of Income Generation at non-profit animal welfare organisation, the RSPCA.
