IMS Health Names New CEO
Pharma market research giant IMS Health has appointed Ari Bousbib as its new Chief Executive Officer, replacing David Carlucci who will continue to serve in his other role as Chairman for a transition period.
 The firm, which operates in more than 100 countries, was recently acquired by investment firms TPG Capital and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) for $5.2bn.
Bousbib joins after a 14-year period with multinational conglomerate United Technologies Corporation (UTC), where most recently he served as President of Commercial Companies - Otis Elevator Company, Carrier Corporation, and UTC Fire & Security. He is a former Partner at global management and technology consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton, and has served on the Board of Directors of The Home Depot since 2007.
In May 2008, Bousbib was appointed to serve on the President's Commission on White House Fellowships, known as America's program for leadership and public service.

Carlucci joined IMS as President and COO in 2002, and was named CEO and President in January 2005. He previously spent 26 years at IBM, where he rose to the position of General Manager, IBM Americas.
