Barrelet's Anametrix Gets Funds, Names Advisors

US business analytics provider Anametrix - which was set up earlier in the year by former WebSideStory founder Blaise Barrelet - has closed a $1.15m round of investment. The firm has also established a Board of Advisors, and appointed two new Board Directors.

Blaise BarreletAnametrix provides SaaS solutions including web analytics, social media, search engine marketing, e-mail campaigns, market research surveys, customer relationship management and enterprise resource planning.

Earlier this year, the firm opened sales and technical operations in London and Amsterdam, while striking deals with resellers in Spain, China, Australia and Israel.

The company's latest round of funding was announced in an SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) filing, which did not name the investors.

In addition to the funding, Anametrix has appointed venture capitalist Alain Shreiber and technology investment specialist Laurent Asscher to its Board.

Barrelet has also set up an Advisory Board comprising technology entrepreneur Michael Roberts; technology company founder Fred Bourgeois; serial entrepreneur Neil Senturia; business development specialist Eric Otterson, and Internet expert Gavin Mandelbaum.

'The Anametrix Advisory Board is filled with bold visionaries with breakthrough accomplishments,' states Barrelet. 'We also welcome Alain Schreiber and Laurent Asscher, whose strategic personal investments and experience will accelerate further corporate growth.'
