Velti Buys Mobile Specialist Mobclix

Channel Islands-based mobile marketing and ad technology company Velti has acquired US mobile ad exchange network and analytics provider Mobclix.

A privately held company headquartered in Palo Alto, CA, Mobclix was founded in 2008 as an open, bid-based marketplace for mobile developers, advertisers, ad networks and agencies. It offers a software developer kit for use by iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows developers who can then sell, track and manage the ad inventory on the applications they create. The Mobclix platform enables publishers to view reporting on the performance of their inventory, as well as adding or subtracting networks and consolidating revenue in a singel payment. Ad networks can use the Mobclix marketplace to purchase targeted inventory across mobile applications, and to date, the exchange has served 33 billion ad impressions on more than 100 million unique smartphone devices.

Velti is a publicly-held corporation based in Jersey which trades on the London Stock Exchange, Its SaaS mGage platform allows clients to use mobile and traditional media to reach targeted consumers, engage and convert them through mobile Internet and applications, and measure the performance of their campaigns.
