NYC Office for The Leading Edge
Australian-based custom research firm The Leading Edge has opened its first in North American office, in New York, and hired former Interbrand and McCann exec Daniel Binns as CEO and Founding Partner.
 The firm says the launch is 'part of a strategy to globalize its business proposition to better serve a growing list of multi-national clients'. It already has offices in Sydney, Singapore and London.
Binns joins from Omnicom-owned Interbrand where he established the global corporate social responsibility and sustainability practice. Before this, he was worldwide account lead at McCann Worldgroup for both Coca-Cola and Unilever.
TLE's Global CEO, Andy Bateman joined the firm earlier this year, also from Interbrand, where he was CEO of the New York Office. He comments, 'Daniel was the perfect choice to head up our New York business. His strong consulting and strategic skills, combined with his experience in helping global clients realize their growth ambitions are the perfect credentials for this position. In addition to that his, extensive experience in running businesses in markets around the world make him an extremely qualified CEO.'
TLE was founded in 1990 and was acquired in 2004 by troubled media conglomerate The Photon Group.
