Ethnic Specialists Team Up

In the US, ethnic and multicultural specialist Ebony Marketing Research (EMR) has partnered with ethnic data supplier List Service Direct (LSDI) to enable it to tap into targeted lists for telephone studies.

LSDI's 'ethnic append' methodology identifies over 120 different ethnicities...EMR was formed in 1984 by President and CEO Dr Ebony Kirkland, in response to what she perceived as a void in the marketing research industry - specifically in the African-American, Asian and Hispanic markets.

The company, which offers a range of quant and qual services for business, government and non-profit organizations, operates from New York, Washington DC and Miami, and also has field offices in Atlanta and Costa Rica.

LSDI specializes in ethnic and religious target marketing, with access to millions of contacts. Its proprietary 'ethnic append' methodology identifies over 120 different ethnicities.

Kirkland says the partnership will enable her firm to offer clients 'the data they need with the confidence that they are getting the best quality available'.
