Heart+Mind Center Honors Wirthlin Founder

In the US, research firm Heart+Mind Strategies has opened 'The Richard B. Wirthlin Center for Applied Values-Research in Marketing and Communications' - in honor of President Reagan's former pollster Dr Richard Wirthlin, who is a member of its Advisory Board.

Dr Richard WirthlinHeart+Mind was founded earlier this year by former leaders of Dr Wirthlin's research firm Wirthlin Worldwide, which was acquired by Harris Interactive in 2004.

The new center is led by Dr Jim Hoskins, who previously served as Division President, Brand and Strategy Consulting at Harris Interactive, and EVP of Wirthlin Worldwide.

Hoskins says that the launch of the center is the culmination of the firm's 'significant investments' into the science of values research interviewing, data collection, analysis and mind mapping.

Through the center, his team will apply advanced theories and tools to the creation of clients' values-based communications campaigns, designed to shape human decision making.

'While many opinion research firms say they do values research, no one does it with the same rigor and results,' states Managing Partner, Dee Allsop. 'It has been a primary goal of Heart+Mind Strategies to re-create a world-class values research capability, and The Richard B. Wirthlin Center for Applied Values Research honors its namesake and fulfils that goal.'
