Japanese Partner for MarketShare

US-based analytics firm MarketShare has teamed up with Japanese ad agency Hakuhodo to offer marketing effectiveness solutions to clients in Japan and other key Asian markets.

Wes NicholsHakuhodo was founded in 1895, is Japan's second largest advertising agency with 65 offices in 17 countries or regions, and founds its planning and thinking on its principle of Sei-katsu-sha, 'consumers with heartbeats', emphasizing its determination to treat them as individuals and seek a comprehensive, 360-degree perspective on their lives.

Under the new deal, it will offer its clients an enhanced marketing spending optimization and ROI package using MarketShare's expertise and patent-pending analytics software, which covers a broad range of on- and off-line media including TV, radio, print, OoH, online search, mobile and in-store.

The ad agency's strategic planning offer will now include understanding of the effectiveness of each marketing activity, as well as sales forecasting.

Wes Nichols, MarketShare's co-founder and CEO, says Japan has been a very important market for the firm, adding 'our partnership with Hakuhodo will help us further expand there and establish a leadership position in the Asia-Pacific region.' Masaki Mikami, Executive Officer of Hakuhodo, says partnering with MarketShare will help his company 'to provide a unique service that will allow us to deepen our relationships with existing clients as well as win new business with this differentiated offering.'
