IFF Debuts SME Omnibus

UK-based independent IFF Research has launched an SME Omnibus which it claims is the fastest turnaround telephone business omnibus in the UK.

Steve LomaxThe SME Business Omnibus consists of 500 interviews each month with owners, MDs and financial directors of businesses with between 0 and 249 employees. The survey will run every month and offer data just two weeks from finalised questionnaire - the first results will be available on 2nd February. IFF says the launch comes in response to client demands for a survey that 'regularly and quickly take the pulse of the country's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)'.

Sample is split by turnover (300 < £1m and 200 > £1m); and by number of employees (100 sole traders, 150 micro-businesses (1-9 staff), and 150 small and 100 medium businesses (10-49 and 50-249 employees) respectively.

Director Steve Lomax says the new offering is 'an inexpensive and regular way to find out what small and medium businesses are thinking and what motivates them.' He adds: 'The omnibus is one of a number of launches to come from IFF Research this year as we grow our offer to both private and public sector organisations that want to understand commercial drivers and trends in the UK.'

IFF specialises in researching public policy, business and marketing issues in the UK and internationally, and is particularly noted for large scale public sector surveys in the area of skills and training.
