gravitytank Rolls Out dScout Mobile Research App

In the US, product innovation consultancy gravitytank has launched a mobile research app and web platform called dScout, that connects researchers with consumers in real-time.

Michael WinnickChicago-based gravitytank's work combines research, strategy and design to help clients develop an array of new products and services, and enter new markets.

Its new dScout solution enables consumers to take part in surveys and share their opinions using their mobile phones. Referred to as 'Scouts', participants share their experiences through snippets - a series of photos that include date, time, location and description - depicting their thoughts and behaviors in relation to a specific topic in the same way tweets can with text.

The solution also features a web interface that allows businesses to set study criteria, monitor Scout feedback, and analyze cumulative data in real-time from a centralized location. Researchers can sort the data by topic, keywords, location using mobile geotagging, timeline and more, to enable them to gather insights quickly and make adjustments to the study if required.

'Conducting hundreds of studies, we know first-hand the tedious hurdles of traditional qualitative research,' states Managing Partner Michael Winnick. 'dScout is revolutionizing the process to deliver more meaningful, real-time results with a much greater value to businesses.'
