Bouvard Joins TRA
In the US, media measurement and analytics firm TRA has hired former Arbitron sales leader Pierre Bouvard as SVP of Media Sales. The company has also appointed Kelly Mead and Susan Cuccinello as Vice Presidents.
TRA provides software solutions for television advertising assessment. Its products include Media TRAnalytics, which matches the advertising households actually receive with the products the same households actually buy.
Bouvard will be responsible for overseeing TRA's sales and customer relationships with networks and stations. He has 25 years of experience creating new media brands in addition to his sales, marketing and operations roles. As President of Sales at Arbitron Inc., Bouvard led sales and marketing efforts including those for the Portable People Meter (PPM). He has been working with TRA in various capacities over the past year as a member of its Board and Advisory Board and is currently the Chairman of the International Radio and Television Society (IRTS) Foundation.
Mead, who joins as VP of Advertiser Sales, was most recently a Vice President at Nielsen, working for its joint venture with Catalina Marketing. She was also a member of the Steering Committee of Project Apollo, the initiative to develop a national, single-source marketing research service. She brings over 20 years of consumer and media research and analytics experience.
Cuccinello, TRA's new VP Network Account Management, worked most recently as SVP of TVB, the not-for-profit trade association of America's commercial broadcast television industry. There, she developed primary research projects advocating change and innovation.
Mark Lieberman, Chairman and CEO of TRA, says the three bring 'unique strengths' to the team. He recently wrote in a blog for MediaPost: 'When you're building a business, it's all about the people. Hire people smarter than yourself. Recruit and retain a team of people who know more about what they do than you know.'
