ASL Launch Enhances Mobile Eye Tracking

In the US, eye tracking software developer Applied Science Laboratories (ASL) has released 'ASL Results', a new solution said to make the measurement of consumer response, human behavior and physiology 'faster and easier' than ever.

The Mobile EyeFounded in 1962 by MIT scientists, ASL offers a wide range of eye tracking hardware and software, including the 'Mobile Eye' wearable and portable headset which can be used during tests for in-store shopping, packaging design, point-of-sale display and outdoor advertising. The solution collects eye movements and point-of-gaze information while a respondent is carrying out 'natural' tasks, and also contains an in-built audio capability to record what respondents are saying as they view their environment.

The firm's developers have now created the 'ASL Results' solution to be used with Mobile Eye when users are conducting market, usability, virtual environments and neuroscience research, as well as clinical studies and academic research.

The new solution comes with GazeMap integration, which enables users to map multiple areas of interest (AOI) within a test environment, and apply them to all subjects participating in the study.

It also allows users to define moving AOIs in videos, which can then be viewed with dynamic heat maps, gaze trails and fixation plots.
