Research Now Launches First in Mobile Series

Online sampling and panels specialist Research Now has introduced a new smartphone app, billed as the first in a series of mobile data collection capabilities to be launched this year.

Chris HavemannResearch Now has twenty-two offices worldwide, and more than six million panellists in 38 countries. The firm was acquired in December 2009 by US-based e-Rewards, which last week added another buy, social media market research agency Conversition Strategies.

The new app provides clients with mobile access to Research Now's panels. It allows survey routing, with data delivered to clients in formats consistent with, and if appropriate integrated with, traditional online survey research.

Panel members can download surveys when they are online and complete them 'on the go', even when they don't have an Internet connection. Responses are collected as soon as the app is activated and the device is online again.

The app is currently available for iPhone and Android owners who are existing members of the firm's Valued Opinions panel in the UK, and there are plans to roll out the tool in Australia, Canada, the US, France and Germany next year.

'Our new smartphone app provides an enhanced survey-taking experience for the mobile population,' states President and CEO Chris Havemann. 'With its breakthrough platform, the tool enables quick polling, and gives researchers access to typically hard-to-reach and on-the-go audiences to collect digital forms of data.'
