ASI Next in Ipsos' Asia Pacific Restructure

Ipsos has announced a restructure of its ASI advertising division in the Asia Pacific region. Kym Penhall is promoted to MD of the region, while Great China MD Javier Calvar adds new responsibilities, and Peter Fairbrother and Keith Spencer also take up new roles.

The move follows the announcement in January of a new AsiaPac management team for the parent company.

Penhall was formerly Regional Co-Director of Ipsos ASI in Australia, the ASEAN countries, India, Japan and Korea. He now takes overall responsibility for ASI business within the Asia-Pacific region although he retains a specific focus on Australia. He reports directly to CEO Ipsos ASI Global, Alex Gronberger and CEO Ipsos Asia Pacific, Lifeng Liu.

Calvar continues as Managing Director for ASI Greater China but also takes on the role of Director of Regional Programs, overseeing Research Excellence and managing the regional copy test modelling and database centre. He reports directly to Kym and to Helen Lee, MD of Ipsos in Greater China.

Fairbrother is currently Executive Director ASI Australia, and now becomes MD for India and South East Asia, based in Singapore. Spencer - a previous ASI Regional Director Asia-Pacific - becomes Director of Product and Knowledge ASI Asia-Pacific, and will be returning to Australia having managed ASI's tracking business in the UK and Western Europe for the last two and half years. Both men will report to Penhall.

Completing the regional leadership, Yang Kil continues in his role as ASI Director in North East Asia.
