Kantar Media Promotes Nixon to New COO Role

In the UK, Kantar Media has promoted Allister Nixon from CFO to the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer, Kantar Media Audiences, charged with maintaining and enhancing the performance of the firm's metered measurement services.

Allister NixonKantar Media is established in more than 50 countries and operates through four global business sectors - Intelligence, Audiences, TGI and Custom, and via subsidiary companies Compete, Cymfony and SRDS.

Nixon has been with the business (formerly TNS) since 2003, and prior to this held senior management roles at Reuters, Allied Domecq and Johnston Press.

In his new role, he will also be responsible for accelerating the implementation and cross-fertilisation of new technologies such as return path data and Internet audience measurement. Specifically, he will take on direct responsibility for the firm's regional operations, including those in the UK, Turkey, Romania and the UAE.

He reports to Richard Marks, Global CEO, Kantar Media Audiences, who comments: 'This new
role has become essential due to the significant growth in our business in the last few years,
growth in which Allister has played a key role as CFO, so I am delighted he will be taking on
this new challenge.'
