Terapeak to Extend Yahoo! Japan's Auction Data

Canadian ecommerce market research specialist Terapeak has partnered with Yahoo! Japan to make historical transaction data from the latter's auction site available to a wider set of merchants. Terapeak has also promoted Colin How to the position of President.

Colin HowAt the end of last year, Terapeak (previously known as Advanced E-Commerce Research Systems) closed a $4m round of funding, which it is using to accelerate growth of its data aggregation capabilities.

The company already provides ecommerce data to merchants through its agreements with eBay and PayPal. Through its latest partnership with Yahoo! Japan, Terapeak will now use its own SaaS market and pricing research tool for those merchants using the Yahoo! Auctions platform.

Commenting on the relationship, How (pictured) said: 'Yahoo! Japan has an exceptional reputation as a leading brand and we are delighted that their merchants will be able to take advantage of the ecommerce market data products that Terapeak has built its reputation on.'

How joined Terapeak last year as COO, from his previous position as Managing Partner at HR analytics specialist Applied Human Capital. Prior to this, he served as Strategic Consultant at League Assets. In his new role, he is responsible for growing the firm's business and increasing its presence and positioning.
