Aegis Econometrics Specialist Launches in APAC

Aegis Media has launched its specialist econometric and research consultancy ævolve in the APAC region, following its growth in the UK over the past ten years. The new arm will be led by former Nielsen exec Adam Hodgson.

Adam HodgsonUK-based ævolve is a communications insight and evaluation company, which provides clients with bespoke research, analysis and consultancy services.

The company specialises in using qual and quant research to understand consumers' lifestyles, attitudes and relationships with media, advertising and brands. Its offer includes surveys, focus groups and in depth interviews, plus a 10,000-strong consumer panel.

Hodgson takes up his new role with more than 25 years' research and analytics experience working across the APAC region. Earlier in his career, he worked for Nielsen for 12 years, specialising in media research in the UK, Malaysia and Australia; and later for a number of media agencies in Australian and Asian-based roles before joining Aegis Media.

In his new position, based in Bangkok, he reports to Sean O'Brien, Chief Client Officer Aegis Media Asia Pacific.

O'Brien comments: 'ævolve has been set up in recognition of the fact that clients are continuing to demand dollar accountability from their marketing investment, and the growth of available sales and research data is making this increasingly possible. Our ævolve units will be established across the region over the next 12 months with a focus on China and South East Asia.'
