Former Dubit Directors Set Up Panel Co

In the UK, Robin Hilton and Jonathan Clough - who previously worked at youth research and marketing strategist Dubit - have formed a new online panel firm. ResearchBods offers specialist panels for consumer; online qual; and research among youth, kids and families.

Robin Hilton and Jonathan CloughHilton was previously a Director at Dubit, while Clough was Head of Online Research Services. Their new Leeds-based company recruits panelists on an invitation-only basis, and then motivates them with rewards.

Panels developed to date include GeneralBods, for access to the general UK population; YoungBods, comprising 37,000 11-24-year-olds; FamilyBods, which includes a diverse range of households; and EduBods, which is made up of 20,000 education workers.

In addition, the firm manages The EduVoice Panel, which recruits research respondents through local community groups and educational establishments. The panel enables parents, pupils, family members, friends and teachers to raise money for themselves and their schools, colleges and universities by completing surveys online and through their mobile phones.

In addition to running their new firm, Hilton and Clough continue to manage Dubit's young people Informer panel, and share offices with their previous employer.

The pair commented: 'In putting our panels together we've considered why people respond to surveys online and approached this so many different types of people participate in our panels, not just respondents who want to 'earn a few quid' or have the chance to win a prize'.
