Senior Changes at IDC Australia

Technology analyst IDC has promoted Matt Oostveen to the role of Chief of Research for Australia. He replaces Tim Dillon who takes an expanded Asia Pacific role.

Dillon becomes Associate VP of Enterprise Mobility and End-User Research for Asia Pacific, based in Sydney.

Oostveen has spent the last four years as IDC's Associate Director for the South Pacfic Infrastructure Group. He worked previously for Microsoft's regional operations in Singapore as Competitive Strategy Manager, and in sales for IBM's Server and Technology Group (STG).

His previous role is now filled by Trevor Clarke, who for the past year has served as infrastructure group senior analyst at IDC Australia.

Country Manager Gary Clarke comments: 'Matthew's public profile, vast network of industry contacts and demonstrated thought leadership have won the respect of clients, end-users and employees, so it was a very straight forward choice for me.'

IDC employs more than 1,000 analysts in 110 countries, providing market intelligence and advisory services for technology markets. Web sites: www.idc.com or www.idc.com.au .
